Everlasting Danish memories

It's funny to see how your country is 'sold' to foreigners. In Copenhagen airport I found a stand with the so-called everlasting Danish memories. The brass viking head with glued-on hair is not exactly my favorite. Wonder what the New Yorkers think of their not-so-everlasting 'I love NY' t-shirts...

Having used Picasa Web for a little while now, I have found that it's a bit more cool than Flickr which I've used for photo-albums so far. I have a LOT of images that I want to put online, but it takes time to find the 50 best out of the usually 300-600 images I take when travelling. Anyway, so far seven albums made their way to Picasa - and counting.

Morning lineup

Wednesday is Jäger-day. It's a fine tradition that is backed up by the diversity of shot-glasses from all around the world. At least three are from New York, but we have glasses from as far away as Peru, Argentina, Hawaii and Key West. Soon a glass from the Seychelles will join :)

Come again?

I might be going to New York again in a few weeks. My brother is attending a four-day course there, so I'm thinking of paying him a visit. Gotta see if I can get time off from work and a cheap ticket. Let's see...

Confirmed: Seychelles

Plane-tickets are confirmed. We're traveling with Condor and got the tickets at a reasonable price (approx. 1000 US$/person).
We will stay on 3 different islands: Mahe, La Digue and Praslin (in that order). The hotel on La Digue is confirmed: Patatran - so is the AVIS car rental on Mahe. There are no private cars on La Digue and I haven't decided yet, if we'll need a car on Praslin.

Now I need to figure out inter-island transportation. It's probably gonna be a plane ride between Mahe and Praslin and boat between Praslin and La Digue.

We're currently looking at Yarrabee Studio on Mahe and The Islanders and Le Duc on Praslin.
